The Portsmouth City Council (Comicon) (Temporary Road Closure) (No.77) Order 2025
Portsmouth City Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in the roads and the lengths of roads set out below from 2nd to 4th May 2025.
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
1. KING HENRY 1 STREET
From its junction with Exchange Road to its junction with Guildhall Walk.
2. GUILDHALL WALK
From its junction with Alec Rose Lane to its junction with King Henry 1 Street.
B) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 12:00 on 2nd May 2025 to 18:00 on 4th May 2025, or at the discretion of the Highway Authority or its agents. Roads will reopen when it is deemed safe to do so.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
The above restrictions are necessary for the safe passage of the Comicon event.
DIVERSION
Traffic will be diverted to White Swan Road, Exchange Road (parking and access only).
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the event.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the event.
