Portsmouth City Council (St Georges Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.21) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 27th January 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
ST GEORGES ROAD
From its junction with Gunwharf Road to its junction with St Georges Square.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate rail bridge renewal works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 27th January 2025 to 28th March 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between Monday to Friday from 23:00 to 06:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from St Georges Road, Cambridge Junction Roundabout, Cambridge Road, St Michaels Road, Anglesea Road, Queen Street, Wickham Street, Clock Street, The Hard, The Hard Interchange.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
