Portsmouth City Council (Carols on the Camber) (Temporary Road Closure) (No.193) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994.
The Order comes into operation from 22nd December 2025 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
GUNWHARF ROAD
From its junction with White Hart Road for 82m to south of the entrance to Portsmouth Ferry Terminal (Isle of Wight).
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Carols on the Camber event.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 16:00 to 20:30 on 22nd December 2025 or completion of the event, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Dead end road. Parked vehicles within the event site will be marshalled out when safe to do so.
Pedestrian and cycle access will be diverted around the event.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the event.
