Portsmouth City Council (Cambridge Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.20) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 13th January 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
CAMBRIDGE ROAD (SOUTHWESTBOUND)
From its junction with St Michaels Road to Cambridge Junction Roundabout.
Duration: 13th January 2025 to 16th February 2025
ST MICHAEL’S ROAD
From its junction with Cambridge Road (south of Mercantile House) to its junction with Cambridge Road (north of Mercantile House).
Duration: 17th February 2025 to 31st March 2025
B) TEMPORARY BANNED RIGHT TURN
BURNABY ROAD
At its junction with Cambridge Road.
Duration: 13th January 2025 to 16th February 2025
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 13th January 2025 to 31st March 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Cambridge Road – Vehicles will be diverted from St Michaels Road, King Richard I Road, Lord Montgomery Way, Hampshire Terrace, Landport Terrace, Kings Road Roundabout, Museum Road.
St Michaels Road – Cambridge Road, Cambridge Junction Roundabout, Cambridge Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
