Portsmouth City Council (Cheltenham Road Footpath) (Temporary Footpath Closure) (No.137) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 24th August 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
CHELTENHAM ROAD FOOTPATH
From its junction with Allaway Avenue to side of 96 Cheltenham Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate electrical works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 24th August 2025 to 31st August 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Pedestrian access will be diverted to footpath at side of 95 Cheltenham Road, Racecourse Lane, Marsden Road, Allaway Avenue and vice versa.
