Portsmouth City Council (Winston Churchill Avenue) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane Restrictions) (No.138) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 24th August 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE RESTRICTIONS
WINSTON CHURCHILL AVENUE (EASTBOUND and WESTBOUND)
From Winston Churchill Avenue Roundabout to Bradford Junction Roundabout.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate mobile survey works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 24th August 2026 to 4th September 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between Friday to Tuesday from 18:30 to 06:30.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted into the bus lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion around the works.
