Portsmouth City Council (Albany Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.89) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 11th May 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
ALBANY ROAD (NORTHBOUND)
From its junction with Cavendish Road to its junction with Nelson Road.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
ALBANY ROAD (SOUTHBOUND)
From its junction with Cavendish Road to its junction with Nelson Road.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate electrical works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 11th May 2026 to 22nd May 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Albany Road, Elm Grove, Grove Road South, Nelson Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
