The Portsmouth City Council (Armed Forces Day) (Temporary Road Closure) (No.110) Order 2026
Portsmouth City Council pursuant to arrangements made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in the roads and the lengths of roads set out below on 20th June 2026.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
From 08.30 to 17.30, or at the discretion of the Highway Authority or its agents. Roads will reopen when it is deemed safe to do so.

From 08:30 to 17:30 on Saturday 20th June 2026
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
From 08.30 to 17.30:
CLARENCE ESPLANADE (WESTBOUND)
From the entrance to the D-Day Car Park to opposite the war memorial.
From 10.15 to 11.30:
CLARENCE ESPLANADE (EASTBOUND)
From its junction with Serpentine Way to its junction with Avenue de Caen. (Except for eastbound egress between D-Day Car Park and Avenue de Caen under marshal control.)
Traffic from D-Day car park will be managed under marshal control.
REASON FOR THE ORDER
The above restrictions are necessary for the safe passage of the Armed Forces Day event.
DIVERSION
Roads will be re-opened by 17:30 or completion of the event, whichever is sooner.
