Portsmouth City Council (Dugald Drummond Street) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.51) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 27th March 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
DUGALD DRUMMOND STREET
From its junction with Isambard Brunel Road to Electricity Sub Station at rear of Enterprise House.
STATION STREET ACCESS ROAD TO PORTSMOUTH AND SOUTHSEA STATION
From its junction with Station Street to outside Portsmouth and Southsea Station.
B) TEMPORARY REVERSAL OF ONE WAY
DUGALD DRUMMOND STREET
From its junction with Greetham Street to Electricity Sub Station at rear of Enterprise House.
STATION STREET ACCESS ROAD TO PORTSMOUTH AND SOUTHSEA STATION
From its junction with Dugald Drummond Street to outside Portsmouth and Southsea Station.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate rail works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 27th March 2026 to 2nd April 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Isambard Brunel Road – Greetham Street and Isambard Brunel Road – Commercial Road – Station Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
