Portsmouth City Council (Prince Albert Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.37) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 2nd March 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
PRINCE ALBERT ROAD
From its junction with Devonshire Avenue for 20 metres north and 20 metres south.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate gas works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 2nd March 2026 to 31st March 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from:
Eastfield Road, Eastney Road, Devonshire Avenue.
Devonshire Avenue, Winter Road, Eastfield Road.
Eastney Road, Suffolk Road, Devonshire Avenue.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
