Portsmouth City Council (Bishop Crispian Way) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.32) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 23rd February 2026 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
BISHOP CRISPIAN WAY (WESTBOUND)
From the bus gate entry point to its junction with Alfred Road. (Bus lane only)
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate tree pruning works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 23rd February 2026 to 24th February 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 09:30 – 15:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Bishop Crispian Way, Unicorn Road, Alfred Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works on the opposite footway.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
