Portsmouth City Council (100 Years Naval Memorial Parade) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Waiting and Loading) (No.131) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994.

The Order comes into operation from 4th October 2024 and the effect will be as follows:-

A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING

CLARENCE ESPLANADE
From the flood gates (west) to west of its junction with D-Day Car Park Entrance.

B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate the 100 Years Naval Memorial Parade event.

C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 06:00 to 12:00 on Friday 4th October 2024 or completion of the event, whichever is sooner.

D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Clarence Esplanade – Pier Road – Duisburg Way – Clarence Parade – Avenue de Caen and vice versa. (Eastbound access to D-Day Car Park only).
Pedestrian and cycle access will be maintained/diverted around the event.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the event.
