Portsmouth City Council (Braintree Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.93) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 29th July 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
HADLEIGH ROAD
From its junction with Clacton Road for 30 metres.
B) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
BRAINTREE ROAD
From its junction with Tunstall Road to outside No. 20 (on both sides).
SUDBURY ROAD
From its junction with Tunstall Road to Hadleigh Road (on both sides).
From its junction with Wymering Lane to outside No. 3 (on both sides).
HADLEIGH ROAD
From its junction with Sudbury Road to Clacton Road (on both sides).
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate CityFibre works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 29th July 2024 to 16th August 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in 30 metre sections, as notified by signage and letters to residents in advance of works taking place.
E) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Clacton Road, Wymering Lane, Sudbury Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
