Portsmouth City Council (Somerfest) (Temporary Road Closure) (No.92) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic Regulation (Special Events) Act 1994.
The Order comes into operation from 27th July 2024 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ST PAULS ROAD
From its junction with Landport Street to its junction with Wiltshire Street.
PARK STREET
In its entirety.
COLPOY STREET
In its entirety.
MERIDEN ROAD
In its entirety.
WILTSHIRE STREET
From its junction with Meriden Street to dead end.
CALDECOTE WALK
In its entirety.
ATHERSTONE WALK
In its entirety.
SACKVILLE STREET
In its entirety.
ASTLEY STREET
From its junction with Brunswick Street to its junction with Park Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate Somersfest event.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 06:00 to 18:00 on Saturday 27th July 2024 or completion of the event, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Landport Street, Lansdowne Street, Wiltshire Street, Melbourne Place, Middle Street, Eldon Street, King Street, St Pauls Square, St Pauls Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the event.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the event.
