Portsmouth City Council (Fountain Street) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.132) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 5th October 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
FOUNTAIN STREET
From its junction with Edinburgh Road to dead end.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate crane works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 5th October 2024 to 14th October 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works are due to take place between 5th October 2024 to 7th October 2024. If works are rescheduled due to adverse weather, works will take place between 12th October 2024 to 14th October 2024.
D) DIVERSION
No vehicle diversion – dead end road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works under marshal control.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
