Portsmouth City Council (Kingston Crescent) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.130) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 4th October 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
KINGSTON CRESCENT (WESTBOUND)
From its junction with London Road and Kingston Road to its junction with Kingston Crescent Access Road Leading To Mile End Road.
HEATHFIELD ROAD
From its junction with Kingston Crescent to its junction with Heathfield Path.
GAMBLE ROAD
From its junction with Kingston Crescent to its junction with Malthouse Road.
(Night works)
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate electric cable installation works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 4th October 2024 to 28th October 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will be carried out in sections as notified by signage and letters to businesses and residents.
Notwithstanding the above, works on Gamble Road will be carried out overnight between 19:00 – 05:00 Monday to Saturday between 5th October and 26th October 2024.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from London Road, Kingston Road, Lake Road, Cornmill Street, Market Way Roundabout, Market Way, Commercial Road, Mile End Road.
Vehicles will be diverted from Gamble Road, Nessus Street and vice versa and Kingston Crescent, Kingston Road, Clydebank Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
