Portsmouth City Council (Station Street) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.114) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 6th September 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
STATION STREET
From its junction with Commercial Road to Surrey Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate manhole repair works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 20:00 on 6th September 2024 to 06:00 on 7th September 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Station Street, Arundel Street, Arundel Street Roundabout, Holbrook Road, Lake Road, Cornmill Street Roundabout, Cornmill Street, Marketway Roundabout, Marketway, Hope Street Roundabout, Unicorn Road, Stanhope Road and vice versa.
For access to Portsmouth and Southsea Railway Station approach westbound from Arundel Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
