Portsmouth City Council (Marketway) (Temporary Suspension of Bus Lane Restrictions) (No.113) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 4th September 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF BUS LANE RESTRICTIONS
MARKETWAY (WESTBOUND)
From Marketway Roundabout to opposite Clarence Street.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate frame and cover repair works to manhole outside 7-9 Marketway.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 4th September 2024 to 5th September 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 20:00 to 06:00.
D) DIVERSION
All vehicles will be diverted from the main carriageway into the bus lane.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
