Portsmouth City Council (London Avenue) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.108) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 26th August 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
LONDON AVENUE
Outside No. 75 to outside No. 85 on both sides.
ANGERSTEIN ROAD
Outside No. 28 to outside No. 32 on both sides.
B) TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE (RIGHT OF WAY)
PITCROFT LANE
From its junction with Pitcroft Road to Croft Road.
C) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate electric cable installation works.
D) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 26th August 2024 to 30th September 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in sections:
London Avenue between 28th August 2024 to 30th August 2024.
Angerstein Road between 17th September 2024 to 19th September 2024.
Pitcroft Lane between 16th September to 21st September 2024.
E) DIVERSION
London Avenue: Vehicles will be diverted from Cardiff Road, Angerstein Road, Monmouth Road and Cardiff Road, North End Avenue, Gladys Avenue.
Angerstein Road: Vehicles will be diverted from Cardiff Road, Derby Road, Monmouth Road.
Pitcroft Lane: Pedestrians/Cycles will be diverted from Pitcroft Road, Stamshaw Avenue, Seagrove Road.
