The Landport Neighbourhood Board is an independent partnership set up as part of the government’s Pride in Place Programme – a national initiative designed to empower local communities to shape regeneration and investment in their areas.
The Board brings together residents and representatives from local government, the local MP, public services, community organisations, and the private sector, to shape a shared vision for Landport’s future.
An independent chair has been appointed to run meetings and makes sure decisions are fair and open.
Landport’s appointed chairs is: Father Bob White, Archdeacon of Portsdown and Vicar of St Mary’s.
The Landport Neighbourhood Board sets its own agenda and is required to publish membership and governance arrangements (including minutes of meetings and decisions), which Portsmouth City Council will host and publish key governance documents.
