This policy explains how Portsmouth Homes helps protect children, young people and adults at risk from abuse, neglect and harm.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We work with partner organisations, including social care services and the police, to help keep people safe.

Concerns should never be ignored. If someone is at immediate risk of harm, call 999. Other safeguarding concerns should be reported to Portsmouth Homes as soon as possible so appropriate action can be taken.

Information may be shared where necessary to help protect someone from harm, even if consent has not been given in certain circumstances.
