This route is 12 miles long and runs from Alice Holt Forest near Farnham through villages and towns in east Hampshire. The last 5 miles are inside Portsmouth.
The name comes from the old journey of oak trees from Alice Holt to shipyards like Portsmouth for building ships. The route enters Portsmouth at the Hayling Ferry, then follows the coast of Portsea Island west to the Historic Dockyard.
