Business permits are available for businesses within a residents permit zone.
Businesses aren’t allowed to buy or use visitor permits for their staff or visitors.
How to apply
To apply, email parking.permits@portsmouthcc.gov.uk from a business email address. Include the following information:
- your full name
- company name and address
- telephone number
- vehicle make, model and registration number
You also need to pay for the permit:
- first business permit – £150
- second business permit – £300
- third and additional business permits – £630
Once you’ve paid, you’ll be able to park in the residents’ zone. Business parking permits are now digital, so you won’t receive a paper permit.
Please check the eligible roads within your Resident Parking Zone, as some roads may have restrictions.
Shared permits
If multiple staff need to share a permit – for example part-time staff working at different times and only one vehicle will be parked at any one time, we may issue a paper permit in exceptional cases. You must provide a full explanation of why a paper permit is needed. There is an additional £100 charge on top of the business permit cost.
