Get help and advice

If you’re homeless, please call the Housing Needs, Advice and Support team on 023 9283 4989.

Opening hours:

  • Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 5pm
  • Friday, 8.30am to 4pm

The team will talk with you to understand your situation. They’ll give advice and help you make a plan to find somewhere safe to live.

You might also get help through Portsmouth’s Rough Sleeping Accommodation Pathway. This offers housing and support for single adults and couples from Portsmouth who are sleeping rough or at risk of it.

Portsmouth Rough Sleeping Hub

The Rough Sleeping Hub gives practical help if you’re sleeping rough or worried about becoming homeless.

Where to go

  • 6 Queen Street, Portsmouth, PO1 3HL
  • open every day: 8am to 4pm (closed between 12pm and 1pm)
  • breakfast available: 8am to 12pm

You can visit in person or call to make an appointment.

Contact details

At the Hub, you’ll get support from a keyworker. You can also use:

  • showers and laundry
  • help with health, including seeing a GP, dentist, mental health worker or podiatrist
  • computers and internet
  • a safe address for your post
  • hot drinks and snacks
  • storage for your things
  • advice on housing, benefits, money and other services like the Recovery Hub
