The council have submitted additional documents to the examination.
These documents, PCC03 Submission Suggested Main Modifications V1.0 (supersedes KD32 and KD33) and PCC04 Submission Suggested Additional Modifications V1.0 (supersedes KD32 and KD33) are available to view on the Post Submission documents page.
In addition, these documents supersede submission documents KD32 Schedule of Changes to the Pre-Submission Local Plan 2024 and KD33 Schedule of Changes to the Pre-Submission Local Plan Addendum 2025.

23 March 2026 – appointment of inspectors
The Planning Inspectorate (PINS) wrote to Portsmouth City Council to confirm that the Secretary of State has appointed Inspectors T. Parton BA (Hons) MPLAN MRTPI, D. McCreery BA (Hons) MA MRTPI, and M. Philpott BA(Hons) MA MRTPI to hold an independent examination of the Portsmouth Local Plan.

Portsmouth City Council has submitted its new Portsmouth Local Plan to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for independent examination.
