Homes beyond Portsmouth

As well as homes in Portsmouth and Havant, Portsmouth Homes also owns and manages a small number of homes in Fareham, Gosport and Winchester.

These homes became part of Portsmouth Homes in February 2024. While they are outside the Portsmouth city boundary, they are still part of the same Portsmouth Homes landlord service and are managed to the same standards, policies and legal requirements as all our other homes where possible.

We work closely with the local councils in Fareham, Gosport and Winchester, but we provide landlord services as a registered social housing landlord – similar to a housing association – rather than as Portsmouth City Council.

If you live in a Portsmouth Homes property in Fareham, Gosport or Winchester:

• You receive landlord services
• Your home is covered by the same safety checks, repairs standards and compliance requirements
• You can access housing management support, including help with tenancy issues, rent, repairs and support needs
• You have the same rights and protections under housing law and regulation
• You can get involved in shaping services through our resident engagement and feedback arrangements

We manage all our homes – wherever they are located – as part of one landlord service, so tenants can expect a consistent and fair approach, regardless of postcode.
