Somerstown Family Hub is not the same as Somerstown Hub Community Centre. But don’t worry, it’s only a 5-minute walk if you go to the wrong place! It’s on Omega Street, behind Ark Ayrton Primary Academy, and near Blackfriars Road.
The hub has rooms for activities and playgroups. You can also meet with midwives and health visitors. The staff are friendly and ready to help you with any questions and connect you to the right activities and support.

The entrance is on Omega Street, but you can also walk through the alleyway on Blackfriars Road next to Ark Ayrton Nursery. Look for the circular blue sign. There is a small car park, but parking is limited.
Yasmin is your Somerstown Family Hub Champion. She works for Home-Start Portsmouth, which runs the Portsmouth Family Hub and Start for Life programme.
Yasmin started working at Home-Start Portsmouth as a family hub champion in August 2023. She is originally from Kent but moved to Portsmouth to study Sociology and Criminology and has stayed here since. She previously worked for the local charity Stop Domestic Abuse and did her dissertation research on how lockdown affected domestic abuse rates.
