In-Tend is the e-sourcing system Portsmouth City Council uses to manage all tender opportunities. We recommend you download the guides in the documents section below before accessing In-Tend for the first time. In particular, please read the frequently asked questions document, which contains important additional information.
If you are unable to supply the full service being sought but would be interested in submitting an interest within the supply chain, follow the link to sub-contractor and supplier opportunities.
Additional tender opportunities that we may use are listed on the Central Buying Consortium.
How In-Tend works
The system is fully web-based. It advertises requirements for goods and services the council needs, and allows suppliers to express interest in such opportunities. The system allows tender documents to be transferred securely between the council and our suppliers, from evaluation of pre-qualification questionnaires to short-listing suppliers, evaluating tender returns and finally awarding contracts.
We also use In-Tend for smaller value, less complex quotation exercises.
Get started with In-Tend
Whether you are interested in a current opportunity or not, it is worthwhile registering your company on In-Tend so that you can take advantage of any future business opportunities.
To get the most of the site, read the helpful documents below: In-Tend guide for suppliers and In-Tend additional help for suppliers, which supplements the In-Tend on-screen instructions and its Help button.
Part of the registration allocates your organisation to business categories. It is important to select categories appropriate to your competencies, so have a look at the document below called In-Tend – business categories.
