Cost of living support and advice

Find a warm space this winter

Find friendly, warm spaces in your local community. Places where you can meet others, take part in activities, get a warm drink or meal, or spend some quiet time away from your home.

We’ve worked with Hive Portsmouth to put together a list and a map of welcoming spaces opening their doors to Portsmouth residents this winter. Everyone is welcome.

We will update the list and map regularly when we have news about venues or activities. Residents with no internet access can call the Hive Helpline on 023 9400 7124 for this information.

Did you know that all Portsmouth libraries are warm spaces too? You are welcome to spend time at any of our nine local libraries; To meet others, browse our books and magazines, use the computers and free Wi-Fi, or get help and advice. Find details of activities and opening times for our libraries.

If you’re feeling lonely and you’d like to get to a warm space or local library but don’t have the confidence to go on your own, our Community Connectors could help you take the first steps to getting out and about in your local community. Find out about our community connector service.
