Part 5 of the Portsmouth City Council Constitution sets out the Members’ Allowances Scheme. This explains the payments and allowances available to councillors for carrying out their Council duties.

The scheme helps ensure openness and transparency about how councillors are supported to undertake their roles, including basic allowances, special responsibility allowances and claims for travel and care costs.
