Earlier this year, we asked people living near the park to help choose the new design. Residents reviewed a shortlist of options and selected the Kompan design, which best reflects what matters most to local families and carers.

Temporary closure
The play area will be closed from 15 June while the improvement work is carried out.
We aim to have the new play area ready to reopen in time for the summer holidays, so families can enjoy it as soon as possible.
Why we’re doing this
The current play area is dated and doesn’t make the most of the space. The new design will create a more exciting, welcoming and accessible place for local families.
