We are changing how you apply for and manage House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) licences. From 22 June 2026, we will move to a new online system.
What is changing
We are replacing our current system (Rocktime Verso) with a new system called Metastreet. The new system will be easier to use and help you manage your licence online.
Key dates
- Monday 22 June 2026 at 9am – Deadline to finish any application or renewal in the current system
- Monday 22 June 2026 at 10am – The current system (Rocktime Verso) will close
After 10am, you will not be able to log in or access your account in the old system.
Apply for a new HMO licence
From 10am on 22 June 2026, you must use the new system (Metastreet) to:
- apply for a new HMO licence
- manage new applications
Search “HMO licence application” on our website to find the new system.
If you already have a licence
- Your licence details will move to the new system
- You will get instructions in early July on how to access your new account
If you need help before then, contact us.
If you are in the middle of an application or renewal
- You must finish and submit it by 9am on 22 June 2026
If you cannot meet this deadline, contact us for support.
If your licence is due for renewal soon
- We will email you before your renewal date
- The email will explain how to renew using the new system
If you have already started a renewal and cannot finish it before the deadline, contact us.
What you need to do now
- Log in to your current account
- Complete any applications or renewals before 22 June 2026
- Download or save any documents you want to keep
Your records will move to the new system, but you can still keep copies for your own use.
