This policy explains how Portsmouth Homes works to prevent harm, recognise concerns and respond when a child or adult may be at risk of abuse, neglect or harm.
We take a person-centred approach and work with residents, council services and partner organisations to identify concerns and provide appropriate support. Staff are trained to recognise safeguarding concerns and report and respond to them appropriately.
If you are worried about your own safety or someone else's, please report it. You do not need proof before raising a concern. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
