This policy explains how Portsmouth Homes manages requests for aids and adaptations to help tenants and members of their household live independently in their homes where they have a disability or mobility need. It sets out how requests are assessed, the types of adaptations that may be available, and the criteria used to determine what support can be provided.
We work closely with Occupational Therapists and other professionals to make sure adaptations are appropriate, practical and tailored to individual needs. We aim to provide a fair and consistent service while meeting our legal responsibilities and making best use of available resources.
Residents can request an assessment through an Occupational Therapist or by contacting Portsmouth Homes. For full details on eligible adaptations, assessments, funding arrangements and appeals, read the full policy.
