DASS provides training to organisations and staff who work with young people to offer substance misuse support. If you are part of a team and would like to arrange for one of our trainers to deliver at your place of work, please reach out for more information: DASS@portsmouthcc.gov.uk
We also offer Drug and Alcohol Awareness training twice a year. You can book on this through learning support team – if you don’t have access to this you can contact us directly at DASS@portsmouthcc.gov.uk
As a professional you might be working with a young person who struggles with substance misuse. In the first instance we would recommend discussing with the young person about a referral to our service for support. If consent is given, then please complete a referral.
If no consent is given by the young person, DASS staff can offer a team around the worker session. This can be done on Microsoft Teams or face to face. The session will allow you to talk about the individual in confidence, upskill you and provide harm reduction and educational advice/tools/resources which you can complete.
