Bowel cancer is common but treatable if found early. Screening uses a small sample of your poo to check for hidden blood, which can be a sign of cancer.
You’ll be sent a test kit every two years if you’re aged 60 to 74. If you’re over 74, you can request a kit by calling 0800 707 60 60.
The screening centre for Portsmouth is Queen Alexandra Hospital.
If you notice symptoms like blood in your poo, tummy pain, or weight loss, speak to your GP – don’t wait for your next test.
