Stray dogs can cause many problems such as serious road accidents or biting a child. It’s also stressful for the owner. At Portsmouth Stray Dog Kennels, we assist the public by taking in or collecting stray dogs found in Portsmouth. After assessing the dog’s condition, we then care for them in our modern kennels facility until we can contact the dog’s owner. Most of our dogs are successfully reunited with their owners. But if no owner comes forward then we also work hard to re-home the dogs in our care.
We have:
- rescued 80 dogs last year
- microchipped a lot of dogs!
- reunited 55 dogs with their owners and rehomed the rest
- won gold standard in the RSPCA Pawprint awards for the eighth year running
