The Inspectors have issued their Matters, Issues and Questions (MIQs), Guidance Note and Initial Hearing Programme.

23 March 2026 - appointment of inspectors

The Planning Inspectorate (PINS) wrote to Portsmouth City Council to confirm that the Secretary of State has appointed the following Inspectors to hold an independent examination of the Portsmouth Local Plan:

  • T. Parton BA (Hons) MPLAN MRTPI
  • D. McCreery BA (Hons) MA MRTPI
  • M. Philpott BA(Hons) MA MRTPI

Portsmouth City Council has submitted its new Portsmouth Local Plan to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for independent examination.
