There are certain circumstances where the size limit rules will not be applied:
- state pension credit age – if you are over state pension credit age or have a partner over state pension credit age
- special places to live – if you pay to park your houseboat, or if you pay to stay in a caravan or mobile home, and other special types of renting
- temporary place to stay – if you don’t have a home and the local government helps you by giving you a temporary place to live
- special supported housing – if you live in a place run by organizations or charities that help take care of you and support you
