This is a special fund to help people who get Council Tax support but still have trouble paying their full Council Tax. This fund gives extra help if the support from the council is not enough to cover all their Council Tax for their home.
Exceptional hardship payments are designed as a short-term help only. All applicants will be expected to engage with the council and undertake the full application process.
If you wish to apply for a hardship payment, please contact the revenues and benefits service once you’ve received your annual Council Tax bill.
