Spinnaker Tower and the Guildhall will be lit up in Ukraine’s national colours on 19 November, to mark 1000 days since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022.
To show solidarity with Ukraine and in memory of the victims, the landmarks will be lit up from 9am to 9pm.
The Ukrainian flag will also fly in Guildhall Square.
Cllr Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council said: “It is important that we show solidarity with Ukraine, and remember those have lost their lives, and those who are still fighting for Ukraine.“
Council staff have also been invited to take part in a minute’s silence at 9am on 19 November.
