The play park in Teignmouth Road is being completely revamped and local residents are being asked to help pick from three final designs.
Portsmouth City Council is updating the outdoor children’s play area and has shortlisted three final designs from three specialist companies.
A survey is open until Sunday 21 June 2026 for residents in postcode areas PO3 5 and PO3 6 who live closest to the park to view the illustrative designs and comment on them.
Cllr Lee Hunt, Cabinet Member for Community Safety, Leisure & Sport, said:
“We are creating a fantastic new play area for children, and we now need local residents to help us decide which of the three shortlisted designs to go for.
“All three play specialists have created excellent designs offering slightly different play facilities, so we want to hear from those who will be using the space, which one we should take forward.
“This is part of a huge investment in play facilities for toddlers to teenagers city-wide at Bransbury Park, and play zones in Baffins, Stamshaw and Charles Dickens Centre, and a revamp at the Buckland play courts next to the play park.”
The three designs from Eibe play Ltd, KOMPAN Ltd, and Wicksteed all meet the brief set out in initial consultation with residents.
