Lost, stolen or damaged blue badge

In most cases, you can contact us to ask for an application for a duplicate badge. Once you’ve completed and returned this application, we’ll send you a replacement. There is a £10 charge for replacement blue badges.

  • If your badge has been damaged, you’ll also need to return the damaged badge to receive a replacement.
  • If your badge has been lost, you’ll also need to complete a ‘lost blue badge’ report form.
  • If your badge has been stolen, you’ll need to report the theft to the police and get a crime reference number, which you must submit with your application.

Changes in circumstances

If you’ve changed your address, please let us know as soon as possible. This is so we can contact you and send your renewal form when needed.

If you’re moving to Portsmouth from out of the area, let us know your new address. You should also contact the local authority who issued your existing blue badge so they can transfer your record to us. You don’t need to have a new blue badge issued by us until your current badge comes up for renewal.

If a blue badge holder has passed away, please return the badge to us. You don’t need to include a letter, but we do need to note the date of death so we can amend the records.

Reporting blue badge misuse

It’s important to let us know of any abuse of the blue badge scheme. This means we can make sure people who need disabled parking spaces can park where and when they need to.

If you suspect someone is misusing a blue badge, please contact us and provide as much information as possible. Ideally, this would include:

  • the blue badge serial number and expiry date
  • details of the vehicle in which the badge is being displayed
  • the location of the vehicle

Once we receive a report, we’ll investigate and consider what action, if any, can be taken.
