Renewing a Blue Badge

Blue badges last for up to three years and don’t renew automatically.

We’ll send you a renewal application form about six weeks before your badge expires. If you don’t get the form two weeks before your badge runs out, please get in touch with us.

We’ll review your application to make sure you still qualify, and you might need to go through more mobility assessments.

If your renewal application is denied, it might be because you don’t meet the eligibility criteria anymore. For example, if you’ve had treatment, or surgery has improved your mobility.
