Childcare support is expanding. From April 2024 some eligible working parents of 2 year old children may be entitled to up to 15 hours of childcare support. Your hours can be used for 38 weeks of the year (during school term time) or you may be able to stretch your hours and use fewer hours per week for up to 52 weeks of the year. Find out more on the Childcare Choices website or on the Education Hub Blog. This funding is different to 2 year old funding for families receiving some additional forms of government support.

Whether you have a baby, toddler, or a school age child, you may be eligible for help towards childcare costs. Visit the Childcare Choices website to find out more. Use the eligibility checker under ‘find the right offer for you’ to find out what you could be eligible for. Or use the Gov.uk childcare calculator to find out how much you could get towards approved childcare.
