Appeals

If your child has been refused a place at your preferred school, you have the right to appeal to an independent panel. You can only appeal if you’ve applied for the school and have been refused a place. 

Infant class size appeals

Appeals for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are known as infant class size appeals. These appeals have restricted grounds set by law. In previous years, there have been no successful infant class size appeals for Portsmouth schools.
