We want your ideas to make travel in Portsmouth cleaner, greener and better connected. Here’s how you can share your feedback.
Requesting improvements to transport in Portsmouth
How to suggest improvements
If you’d like to suggest changes, such as a new cycle path, safer crossings, or better junctions, email
TransportRequests@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
In your email, include:
- what you want to improve
- why this change is needed – give as much detail as you can, including any problems or opportunities you’ve noticed
- where the change should happen – include road names or landmarks. You can also share a What3Words code or Google Maps pin for the exact spot
How we review your suggestions
- organise and review – we check if your request can be handled as part of our normal work or if it needs more investigation.
- feasibility process – if more work is needed, we add your idea to our feasibility list (the list is reviewed regularly and reported to the Cabinet Member for Transport – we look at the issue, possible solutions, costs, and set priorities)
- funding – if your request is prioritised, we look for funding to do the work. Please note: because we get many requests, we can’t guarantee funding for every scheme
