Portsmouth City Council (Widley Walk) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.262) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 11th September 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITON OF LOADING AND WAITING
WIDLEY WALK
From its junction with Portsdown Hill Road north to Portsmouth City Council boundary (approximately 850 metres).
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate works for reinstatement of the verge.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 08:00 on 11th September 2023 to 17:00 12th September 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Widley Walk – Portsdown Hill Road – Mill Lane – Purbrook Heath Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works. Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion.
