Portsmouth City Council (Shearer Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.246) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 28th August 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITON OF LOADING AND WAITING
SHEARER ROAD
For 30 metres southbound from its junction with New Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate CityFibre works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 28th August 2023 to 30th August 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from New Road – Langford Road – Harcourt Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works. Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion.
