Portsmouth City Council (Garfield Road – Nessus Street) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving, Loading and Waiting) (No.173) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 12th June 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, LOADING AND WAITING
GARFIELD ROAD
At its junction with Gamble Road.
Duration: 12th June 2023 to 14th June 2023
NESSUS STREET
At its junction with Gamble Road.
Duration: 15th June 2023 to 19th June 2023
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate CityFibre works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 12th June 2023 to 19th June 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will be carried out in sections as detailed above.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Garfield Road – Nessus Street – Malins Road – Gamble Road and vice versa.
Vehicles will be diverted from Nessus Street – Garfield Road – Gamble Road – Malins Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
